Feenix Gear, Trent Lacrosse vs. Carleton


Hello everyone, Alex Renaud here from Feenix Gear. Today i am presenting you with reports from the Trent University Vs Carleton game that took place september 13th at Trent Stadium.

Trent Excalibur crushed the Carleton Ravens in the first mens lacrosse game of the season. The match started with a quick series of goals by Trent early in the game. Peterborough locals Greig Humphries and Josh Wasson started off with two goals. Trent pressed forward again with strong play making to score another 2 goals by Alex Renaud and Mack O'brien at 13:40 and 8:50 in the first quarter to bring the score to Trent - 4, Carleton - 0. The Excalibur continued to exert offensive pressure, which enabled two more goals by Wasson and one by Renaud, bringing the first Quarter to an end, and giving Wasson his first hat-trick of the season, with a score of Trent - 7, Carleton - 0.

The second quarter saw more of Trent's fierce offensive play making, which kept the Raven's out of shooting range, and putting Brett Dutkus and Humphries in the scoring column. Carleton made their way on the scoreboard with a goal by Ryan Fouler. Wasson scored his 4th bringing the game to half time with a score of Trent, 10 - Carleton, 1.

The 3rd quarter started of in a similar fashion to the previous half with Renaud scoring 3 goals, and Humphries and Wasson contributing 2 more each. A single goal was scored Peterborough born, Zach Mcilmoyle to leave the score entering the final quarter at Trent - 18, Carleton - 1.

As the 4th quarter began, O'brien scored a quick goal- his second of the game. This was in turn countered by the Ravens with a goal by Brooke DiGiosia. The Ravens stepped up the defense this quarter, but it wasn’t enough to stop Josh Wasson from scoring his 7th goal, leaving the game to finish at Trent University - 20, Carleton - 2.
